The Action Group at KTH for Boycott of Israel sent a letter to the government funded Institute for Future Studies and the Director for the newly established Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace. Sarah Gampel’s animated short film The Bus Trip (see film trailer) will be screened at Göteborg’s Film Festival (see festival program) as well as at the Valand Academy, University of Gothenburg (3rd February). The filmmaker will follow the film screening at the two events with discussions on the academic and cultural boycott of Israel. More

UNHCR offices in Jordan boycott Israel prison profiteer G4S
The UN Refugee Agency in Jordan stopped using the services of the British security firm G4S, which has long been targeted by the BDS movement for its involvement in human rights abuses against Palestinians. G4S provides services to Israeli prisons and checkpoints in the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians are frequently tortured and mistreated. More
National Women Studies Association Joins BDS
At the NWSA’s conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico (2014), nearly 800 participants signed a petition calling upon the organization to support the BDS. About 2500 members of the audience at the plenary on Palestine stood in unison in support of freedom and justice for/in Palestine. In 2005, the NWSA endorsed the BDS of economic, military and cultural entities and projects sponsored by Israel. More
UK academics boycott Israeli universities and fight for Palestinians’ rights
More than 300 academics from dozens of British universities have pledged to boycott Israeli academic institutions in protest at what they call intolerable human rights violations against the Palestinian people. More
The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, endorse BDS
Out of 2056 votes cast at the SOSA, an overwhelming majority of 73% voted in favour of boycotting Israeli academic institutions. More
Over 25 Spanish and Basque municipalities endorse BDS
Over 25 local municipalities and regional governments in the Spanish State, including in Catalunya and the Basque Country, have endorsed the BDS boycott of Israel and similar resolutions. Recent municipalities include Diputación of Sevilla, Badalona, Terrassa, Santiago de Compostela and last month in November, Cabildo of Gran Canaria. More
Protests at Israel supporting restaurants in London, Rome, Berlin & Barcelona
Anti-apartheid activists picketed Stazione di Posta in Rome, Tragaluz in Barcelona, Fruehsammers in Berlin and the Cinnamon Kitchen in London to protest their participation in a culinary event in Tel Aviv intended to whitewash Israel’s violent repression of Palestinians. More
The American Anthropological Association endorse BDS
The American Anthropological Association endorsed BDS by over 88% in the most well-attended business meeting in the association’s history. The measure will now be forwarded to the entire membership for a final vote by electronic ballot in the spring. More
University of Chile’s Student Federation for BDS
The Student Federation of the University of Chile (FECH) cancelled its support for a presentation from an Israeli choreographer sponsored by the Israeli Embassy and issued a statement calling for “rejecting ties with all initiatives, support and sponsorships in which the state of Israel or its diplomatic bodies are involved”.
