PSABI continues debating the Israeli violation of human rights 

On the 26ths of October 2015 PSABI quested the Ministry for Foreign Affaris and Ministry of Education a response on the Israeli violence against the Palestinian children and education. The response came on the 29th of October. More

Ship to Gaza tours Sweden debating the blockade of Gaza 

Between 1st July and 15th August, Ship to Gaza will do a bus tour, visiting more than 20 Swedish cities to debate the blockade of the Gaza Strip, its consequences, and the role of Sweden. The idea is to raise awareness of the blockade and to show concrete examples of what you can do to contribute to change. More

The Israeli government has refused to renew travel documents for our friend and partner Omar Barghouti, co-founder of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement — effectively banning him from leaving Israel/Palestine. More

A Letter to Ministers of Foreign Affairs concerning the Israeli travel ban on Omar Barghouti

Sixteen organisations from around the world, all supporting the academic and cultural boycott of Israel, have written a letter condemning the Israeli government’s harassment of the co-founder of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement Omar Barghouti. The letter is being sent to the Foreign Ministers of Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Pakistan, Sweden, United Kingdom, and United States. More.

Irish and Dutch governments join Sweden in speaking out for right to call for BDS

Both governments have publicly stated that calls for a boycott of Israel are legitimate, with the Dutch foreign minister saying that advocating and campaigning for Palestinian rights through the nonviolent BDS movement against Israel are “protected by the freedom of expression” More

The international sportswear company Reebok cancels sneaker celebrating Israel’s “independence”

Following complaints and an outcry on social media by Palestinian and BDS activists as well as supporters who called for boycotts of the company’s products, Reebok Israel announced its distance from a special edition sneaker in blue and white, engraved with “Israel 68” on the side of its heel, would be designed as a collector’s item for a onetime release on the occasion of what Israel calls its “Independence Day.” This day marks the beginning of the Palestinians’ Nakba. More

University of Chile’s Law Faculty students vote “yes” for BDS

Uruguayan Fuecys backs BDS

On the 20th of April 2016, the Uruguayan Federation of Workers of Services and Commerce (Fuecys) became the latest trade union to back BDS with a public call to Uruguayan companies to boycott Israel. More

The Brazilian State of Bahia cancels cooperation agreement with Israel’s Mekorot  

Bahia decided on the 2nd of April to end its cooperation agreement with Israeli water company Mekorot. The decision comes after pressure from campaigners from the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which works to end Brazilian complicity with Israel’s violations of international law. More

Israel continues to violate the international laws and recently against the World Council of Churches delegates to a conference on climate change 

Several participants were detained in prison-like conditions in Ben-Gurion Airport for up to three days before either signing a pledge for not visiting the Palestinian Territories while in Israel, or being deported. More

Sign our appeal to the UN about Israel’s war of repression on BDS

BDS is urging the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to take the necessary measures to uphold and protect the rights of Palestinian, Israeli and international human rights defenders who campaign non-violently for Palestinian rights, including through the BDS movement. Sign here
